Organizing entryway clutter can be quite a challenging task. With lots of different shoes, bags, hats and coats lying around, an entryway bench can go a long way in helping to simplify this task. With this simple bench, that can be made in 15 minutes and costs only 15$ in materials, you can declutter your entryway in minutes.

- 2″x4″ x8ft lumber
- 2″x8″ x8ft lumber
- 2 1/2″ construction screws
- wood stain
- sanding block
- drill and impact driver

The Entryway Bench Build
Step 1: Measure and cut the wood
Measure and cut the wood into following sizes.
- two 4ft long pieces from 2″x8″
- four 15 1/2″ long pieces from 2″x4″
- four 8″ long pieces from 2″x4″
All pieces cut up and ready for assembly
Step 2: Assemble bench legs
Bench supports fit together in the following manner
Predrill holes for screws before screwing together the legs.
Step 3: Lay out seat and position the legs
Lay out seat pieces side by side on a flat surface and make sure they are flush.
Center legs on each end of the seat with 1 3/4″ overhang on each side
Step 4: Attach the legs to seat
Use 4 screws for each 2″x8″ to attach the legs
Step 5: Sand the bench
Sand the bench to remove any sharp edges
Step 6: Apply wood stain
Use a rag to cover the bench with a wood stain of your choice.
